2024 Conference on Higher Education Pedagogy at Virginia Tech University

 

Two of my research students from Bridgewater College - Camryn Rucker; Mackenzie Cauthorn were presented the poster research, titled "Undergraduate and Graduate Students' Perspectives on AI across the Curriculum," at the 2024 Conference on Higher Education Pedagogy held at Virginia Tech University. It was an incredible experience, and I couldn't be prouder of my students and their hard work. I'm genuinely grateful for their dedication and feel honored to have had the opportunity to work with them.

2023 IEEE Global Conference

Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things 

I was honored to chair the "Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) Regulations and Policies for Sustainable Societies" Track at the 7th edition of the IEEE Global Conference on AI & IoT, held from December 10th to December 12th, 2023, at the Holiday Inn Dubai Festival City in Dubai, UAE.

The 24th Annual AI Ethics Across the Curriculum Conference

I had the privilege of presenting our paper titled: "Higher Education Professors and Administrative Leaders’ Perspectives on AI Ethics Across the Curriculum" on AI Ethics Across the Curriculum at The 24th Annual Conference on Ethics. I was fortunate to work alongside my professor, mentor, and colleague, Dr. Oris Griffin, the Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, at James Madison University. Participating in this conference and contributing to the ongoing conversation around ethics and technology was truly an honor.

Leading Change Conference

From Global Knowledge to Local Action

I was delighted to be part of Leading Change Conference hosted by School of Strategic Leadership Studies at my alma mater, James Madison University. I was honored to attend to the conference with my students from Bridgewater College. 

2016 Graduate School Outstanding Thesis Award, James Madison University

Sevinj Iskandarova ('16) has been awarded The Graduate School's 2016 Outstanding Thesis/Project Award. This award recognizes superior scholarship, research, and writing in a master’s thesis project. Theses/projects are evaluated on the basis of clarity of style and presentation, scholarship, methodology, and contributions to the field or discipline. Sevinj Iskandarova has received the award for the Education, Social Sciences, and Humanities area of study; April 17, 2016.
